Field Technician – Los Angeles (Chatsworth)

The Sliding Door Company (TSDC) is widely respected throughout the design industry as the premier choice in the manufacturing and installation of high quality commercial and residential interior sliding doors (room dividers, sliding partitions, privacy walls, office cubicles, closet doors, and swing doors).

We are growing rapidly and looking to build our team with individuals who will represent us with that same high quality. We are currently seeking a Lead Installer for our Los Angeles (Chatsworth) location .

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Working independently or as the Lead of a team installing Interior Glass Sliding Doors and Panel Systems at our customer locations (both commercial and residential)

  • Install and/or service customer product in a quick, efficient, and safe manner

  • Suggest modifications of product or installation to meet customer requirements

  • Instruct our customers in the correct operation of the product

  • Take necessary actions to maintain a clean worksite throughout all phases of the project

  • Use specialized or standard applications in performance of duties

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in construction and skilled labor involving finished carpentry and/or remodeling

  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving and decision making skills

  • Ability to lead an Installation Team in both residential and commercial environments

  • Solid communication skills; both verbal and written, drawings, and messages

  • Proven organization skills; prioritize and organize tasks efficiently and effectively

  • Willingness to work variable work hours, adapt to schedule changes, & accept process changes

  • Ability to lift 100 lbs

  • Proven customer service and problem solving skills

  • Valid and clean driver's license and background

  • U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States

This is a full-time position. A full benefits package is offered after 30 days of successful employment.
